On the business side, key players and hyperscalers are doubling down with new funding rounds, company acquisitions or talent acquisitions. This is especially true for Meta. On the research side, key models like Grok 4 and Kimi 2 have been released with a focus on reasoning and tool-use capabilities. At the application layer, Agentic products that power LLMs with tool-use, computer use, and search continue to show strong adoption, especially in coding.

2. OpenAI introduces ChatGPT agent capable of autonomous handling of complex tasks like editing spreadsheets and presentations
3. Meta launches an AI talent offensive by hiring researchers from OpenAI and Apple. This is a move by Meta to revamp its AI program, along with the deal to acquire 49% of AI data provider startup ScaleAI and the hiring of its CEO, Alex Wang.
